This is where I blog about the things that I do when I go to the woods. I live in Lansing, Michigan and I try to get out and hike and fish and hunt as much as possible. I like it in the woods and on the water, especially when there are few other people around. I appreciate the feeling of remoteness and autonomy. I also like paying attention to the biological aspects of the woods, noticing the type of habitat I’m in and the plants and animals I see. This blog is my attempt to record the places I go and the things I see. It is disciplinary in nature: if I record these things I will likely pay better attention to them, and will go out and witness them more often.
